There's a place in Comelico where time slows, the air smells of resin and pine, and outside your window, the Dolomites remind you every morning why you chose the mountains. That place is the Sport Hotel in Padola, a family-run 3-star hotel in the heart of Comelico Superiore, in the Belluno province, just a few kilometers from the Austrian border and immersed in one of the most beautiful natural landscapes in the Eastern Alps.

We've been here for years, welcoming those seeking the true mountains: hikers who return every summer to explore new trails among the Dolomite peaks, families who want to take their kids away from the hustle and bustle, groups of friends who come skiing and are looking for a comfortable and authentic base, and couples who need a true escape. At the Sport Hotel, you won't find an anonymous hotel: you'll find people who know this area like the back of their hand and who care about you returning home with fond memories.

Our location is strategic. Padola di Comelico Superiore is located in the heart of the Belluno Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage site, just minutes from the Alta Val Comelico ski area, part of the international Dolomiti Superski ski area, and from the main summer trails that cross some of the most beautiful peaks in northeastern Italy: Ajarnola, Cima Undici, Croda Rossa, and Torbiere di Danta. Summer or winter, there's always a good reason to be here.

Half board

Breakfast in the morning and dinner in the evening: the ideal pace for those who spend their days away and want to find a hot, well-prepared meal back at the hotel upon their return. Dinner, featuring our traditional Belluno cuisine, is one of our guests' favorite moments.

Full board

Three meals a day, all included. Leave the dining to us and dedicate yourself entirely to the mountains. Ideal for long stays, families with children, or those who prefer to plan their stay without any unexpected surprises.

Summer & Winter

A hotel that feels like home, in the middle of the Dolomites

What sets us apart is not just what we offer, but how we offer it. The kitchen is overseen by one of the owners, who brings traditional Venetian and Dolomite recipes to the table with the same care she would use for her own family. The welcome is that of someone who has chosen this profession out of passion, not formula.

Tips on hikes, trails, refuges, and mountain huts where you can stop to buy local cheese: you'll find them here, free of charge, with pleasure.

The Sport Hotel is open from the summer season (June) until the end of the winter season (April). We are closed in May and November, while we prepare for the following season.
